PostSubject: It's KirstyM from S&D!   Tue Apr 07, 2009 4:15 pm

Hi everyone!

Still got lots of exploring to do on this site, but thought I'd do an intro at least!

I'm 44 and live in Leeds with my toyboy husband and 3 gorgeous cats. I work as a Tarot reader, and am a practising Wiccan. I've always been interested in magic, Spirit, use of colour, herbs, crystals etc - but finally feel like I'm finding out more about all this stuff through meeting lots of lovely people on the Spirit and Destiny website and now this one! Really lookimg forward to seeing how this site develops - looking good so far!

Love Kirsty xx

PostSubject: Being Wiccan   Fri Jul 10, 2009 10:37 am

Hi Kirsty,I've never met a fellow wiccan before,I've been a practising hedgewitch for about three years now and I love it!
I've always been very spiritual and went to church for many years but it always felt as if something was missing then when I found Wicca everything seemed to fall into place and it was like coming home! Hope to speak soon.
Blessed be,
Tara x

Hi Tara

I know what you mean about coming home - the team I used to work with many years ago bought me a book about Wicca as a present and suddenly it was like everything made sense! I love it! I've never felt the urge to join a coven or anything though - all this stuff feels sort of personal and private to me. But it is nice to speak to other Wiccans!

Hi KIrsty,I've never felt the need to join a coven either, to me Wicca is such a very personal thing and I'm not much of a 'joiner' anyway.
I think this forum is the first thing I've joined in ages and the S&D one of course, but I'm loving it, seems such a pity that plenty of people look at the posts but do'nt post themselves I wonder why that is? seems such a shame.
Anyway lovely yo chat to you,
Blessed be, Tara x

Hurrah!!

It's nice to to meet someone who feels the same way about it I do! I do love the S&D forum and have met quite a few of the people now, and then this one sort of grew out of that. It's nice to find out so much useful info from such nice friendly people. Definitely a good move joining these.

I have to confess though, I don't spend so much time on the magical side of my life since I got married, but talking about it on the forums etc has made me want to get back into it more again. I feel I've got a bit lazy!

PS would definitely encourage any "lurkers" to join in and chat - it's the people who make a forum!

Hi Tara

If you look at the top of the home page there is a tab that says Profile, if you click on that there's another tab called Avatar - see if you can figure it out from there - if not, let me know and I'll try and remember what I did lol!!

Hi Kirsty and Linda,
Thanks for your advice about the avatar,it took a while till I realised
that you're supposed to click on to the little white circle and not the actual picture-doh!
Never mind got there in the end.
