My name is Gemma, I'm a trained (bu unpractised) Colour Therapist and have een interested in all things spiritual and paranormal for many years.

I was to discovermore about myself and whether I actually have a psychic ability/gift. I have only recently started meditating again after 2 years.

Thanks for joining SQ forum and I hope you will find our site interesting, friendly and informative.

It's good to have a colour therapist aboard. Many years ago, I visited The Aetherius Society near Barnsley, South Yorkshire and they used colour therapy with healing. They sat patients under a large lantern that took various coloured panels. When I used to give spiritual healing at the spiritualist church we used to use blue lighting during healing sessions. I find blue light particularly soothing and calming. Working with colour's definitely interesting and fascinating. I teach psychic awareness groups and topics I teach include ribbon and flower readings and auragrams. Ribbon readings have proved extremely popular. Among my various psychic tools and oracles I've also got a 'Know Yourself Through Colour' pack by Marie Louise Lacy. I don't know if you've ever come across this, but I think you might find the pack really interesting as it includes:

• How the psychology of colour reveals the inner you
  
• Methods of bringing colour into your life
  
• The ways of using colour for healing
  
• The deeper meanings of numbers when linked to the colours
  
• How decor and design can help transform negative energy
  
• The influence of different colours throughout the day

Please feel free to post some colour healing information onto SQ, you'll find sections on Spiritual Healing and Reiki on here too, if these interest you. I also posted Kirlian photographs to show the heat emitted from a healer's hands in the Healing section too. I use Totem/Power Animal meditations with my monthly awareness group and these are producing good results. Have you ever tried a power animal meditation? Hope you find the meditation info I've posted useful. I will definitely post some information about colour, as to me it is something that people do not realize can affect us in the most profound ways.

I have also done my reiki level one and I use self healing to cleanse my chakras. It's so nice to find somewhere where people have similar interests to myself

I have never come across the Know Yourself Through Colour pack but I will definitely look it up, as it sounds really good.

I have never tried a power animal meditation but it sounds really interesting.

I have never thought of colour in this way before ,but it makes perfect sense now i come to think about it ! we 'choose ' colour in our everyday life and prob never think why? ie..gettin dressed in morn....choosin what colour clothes you feel in the mood to wear.Food definitely looks more interesting/appetising the more colour there is to it.having flowers around the house,looking at brightly coloured flowers just makes you{or it does me lol}feel instantly happier.Maybe im waffling and this is nothing to do with the colour therapy etc........xx

fluffyangel, that is part of what olour therapy is. It's analysing why we choose the colour we do. The fact that colours are related to our auras, chakras and healing energy is a big indication how colour can help us.

I see colours when I give Reiki to myself and others. Sunshine yellow, pink and a glossy (like nail varnish) deep blue for when a lot of healing is needed
