sitting in circle

Could anyone give me any advice please as to the best way of finding a development circle. In the past i havent found people all that receptive.I am ready to develope further and feel that i am being guided into it but i dont know who to approach ,as they seem to think outsiders to their group are trying to "jump on the psychic band wagon" I find that very disheartening.Where is the best place to find this much needed support?Many thanks Love and Warmth zoe xx
