Colour Visualisation to help you Open and Close your Chakra Centres

HOW TO OPEN AND CLOSE CHAKRA CENTRES

(Before you attempt these Chakra Opening and Closing exercises, please read the topic called The Seven Major Chakras. The Chakra chart in this shows the chakra locations, and what colours are associated with each particular chakra. Try and perform some relaxation and deep breathing exercises before you open your chakras too. If you're not sure how to do these, please look through Meditation topics and you'll find some Relaxation and Deep Breathing information in there)

Your Base or Root chakra is located at the base of your spine, so start by focusing your attention at this spot. Visualise your base chakra as a beautiful RED lotus flower that's slowly opening up its petals. As the petals open wider and wider, you find yourself bathed in a vibrant RED energy. (If you feel tired, or need strength to tackle a situation, let your body absorb strength from this vibrant RED energy.)

Next focus your attention on your Sacral chakra, located halfway between your pubic bone and your naval. Visualise your Sacral chakra as a beautiful ORANGE lotus flower that's opening up its petals for you. As the petals open wider and wider, you become bathed in vibrant ORANGE energy. (Oranges are full of vitamin C which we need to keep ourselves healthy and to help give us vitality. If you feel in need of extra vitality, or feel you'd like help to live a healthier lifestyle then let your body soak up this vibrant ORANGE energy).

Focus your attention next on the area where your stomach lies. This area is where your Solar Plexus chakra is located. Visualise your Solar Plexus chakra as a beautiful YELLOW lotus flower that's slowly opening its petals for you. As these petals open wider and wider, you become bathed in vibrant YELLOW energy. (If you're a person who loves the Sun, or if you've recently lost the 'sunnier' side of your personality, let your body soak up this vibrant YELLOW energy, just as you'd let your body absorb the rays of the Sun.)

Next, move your attention upwards towards your heart area. This is where your Heart chakra is located. Visualise your Heart chakra as a beautiful GREEN lotus flower that's opening up, as it opens its petals wider and wider, you become bathed in vibrant GREEN energy. (Some people visualise the Heart chakra as PINK, rather than Green, therefore, visualise a pink lotus flower rather than a green flower). (If you feel in need of peace and a bit of solace, like you find in the countryside when surrounded by nature, then let your body absorb this vibrant GREEN energy. If you feel the need for unconditional love, let your body absorb the vibrant PINK energy instead.)

Next concentrate on the centre of your throat, as this is were your Throat chakra is located. Visualise your Throat chakra as a beautiful BLUE lotus flower slowly opening up its petals for you, as it opens its petals wider and wider you become bathed in vibrant BLUE energy. (If you need healing, let your body soak up up this brilliant BLUE energy.)

Focus your attention next on the centre of your forehead. This is where your Third Eye chakra is located. Visualise a beautiful INDIGO (INDIGO) lotus flower there. As it slowly opens its petals wider and wider you become bathed in vibrant INDIGO energy. (If you're studying and feel you need help with this, or if you enjoy creative writing, let your body soak up this brilliant INDIGO energy.)

Finally focus your attention on the top of your head, as this is where your Crown chakra is located. Visualise a beautiful VIOLET lotus flower there. As this flower slowly opens you become bathed in vibrant VIOLET energy. Soak up this brilliant VIOLET energy until you feel you've had enough. The Crown chakra colour is often depicted as WHITE, because this chakra represents our Higher Self and connects us to Higher Realms. (If you need words of wisdom, or inspiration from your guides or angels, let your body soak up brilliant WHITE energy.)




Enjoy bathing yourself in these beautiful RAINBOW colours from your open Chakras for a couple of minutes.

When you want to close down your chakras:

First focus your attention on your RED chakra lotus flower. Visualise the petals closing up, until they are tightly shut, then feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

Second, focus your attention on the ORANGE lotus flower that represents your Sacral chakra. Visualise all the petals closing, until they are tightly shut, then feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

Next focus your attention on the YELLOW lotus flower which represents your Solar Plexus chakra. Visualise all the petals closing, until they are tightly shut, then feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

Focus your attention next on the GREEN lotus flower which represenets your Heart chakra. Visualise all the petals closing, until they are tightly shut, then feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

Move your attention upwards and focus on the BLUE lotus flower which represents your Throat chakra. Visualise all the petals closing, until they are tightly shut, then feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

Next focus your attention on the INDIGO lotus flower, which represents your Third Eye chakra. Visualise all the petals closing, until they are tightly shut, then feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

Finally focus your attention on the VIOLET lotus flower, that represents your Crown chakra. Visualise all the petals closing until they are tightly shut. Feel the lotus flower withdraw inside your body.

As an extra cleansing measure, visualise the VIOLET light of your Crown chakra turning to PURE WHITE light. Allow this pure white energy to cascade over your body for a few moments, (bit like taking a psychic shower).

After you've finished closing your chakra centres down, slowly open your eyes, take a couple of deep breathes in and out, finally stretch your arms and legs a little before you get up from your chair.

The opening and closing chakra exercise helps rebalance your chakras, but don't think it removes blockages. I've got info on removing blockages using clear quartz and other crystals and also a way you can brush your aura that's meant to clear that too. I was only looking through them on Monday.
