I've a great deal of respect for Humanists, as they don't believe in God or a Higher Power, but believe this life is all there is. Most religions teach that we will be compensated or punished for our actions after we die. Humanists don't believe in life after death, so they don't expect to be compensated if they live a good life.
Many have been actively involved in helping to set up organisations such as World Health Organisation and United Nations. If you'd like to know more about Humanism, please open the link below.
