The favourite put-down of the sceptic is 'it was only cold reading'
But where does a real contact end and cold reading begin?
I suppose saying absolutely anything could be defined as cold reading.
'I have an elderly gentleman here . . .' yes, nearly everyone must have elderly men who've passed over, but surely that can't be defined as cold reading or fishing for info?
It's good to have a bit of healthy scepticism, but sometimes it seems like some people are just unwilling to believe. Of course they are entitled to their views but they think that anyone who is of another opinion is being naive and stupid . . .
